Philly's Most Wanted's second album proves that no particular assistance, whether from a production standpoint or through guest MC appearances, can vault the duo above the line of mediocrity. Since their
Neptunes-produced debut, 2001's
Get Down or Lay Down, neither
Mr. Man nor Boo-Bonic have made significant strides as MCs -- their words leave nothing to hang on, and their low-wattage deliveries all but refuse to maintain your attention. If you were to receive a dime for every stolen cadence and every clunky line containing "like a" or "than a," you'd be able to afford a substance strong enough to help erase your memory of listening to them.
