This is an interesting if not essential early LP from pianist
Jessica Williams. With the exception of a trio of drummers who take turns on five of the eight selections, and electric bassist Mark Bradshaw, who is on one song, this is a solo effort with
Williams overdubbing on piano, organ, synthesizers, vibes, drums, and keyboard bass. The compositions are reasonably colorful (although the lack of liner notes is unfortunate) and at this point in time,
Jessica Williams already had impressive technique, but she would develop into a much strong improviser within a decade. ~ Scott Yanow
