Don't let their Beatle haircuts or R&B cover song list fool you; underneath it all,
the Gants were pure Southern-bred frat boys. Their hipness in knowing a good
Bo Diddley song when they heard it brought them some measure of success and their regional squareness separated them from the rest of the pack, which is half the point of this 20-track collection. If you're amassing a collection of '60s garage bands, you'll eventually get around to this one, but it won't be in the first 50 you buy. ~ Cub Koda
