Paul Haslinger's second album for RGB Records is another world fusion effort, albeit with a cinematic scope and more of an emphasis on chunky grooves. A few tracks, including the highlight, "When Worlds Collide," are virtually pop songs, while much of the album explores contemporary instrumental music and reveals influences from trip-hop and dance music. Haslinger's production work is edgy and skillful throughout, the Eastern chanting and vocals on many tracks may bother fans of traditional dance music. ~ John Bush
