Sticking mostly to material from
Mötley Crüe's early years, Shout at the Remix: A Tribute to Motley Crue continues Cleopatra's "Future Sound of Rock" series of tribute albums in which veteran rockers' covers are subsequently remixed by industrial artists. The results here are erratic, to be sure, with the main problems being uninspired vocal performances and generic-sounding dance mixes. There are moments when everything comes together effectively, however, sometimes strongly resembling the Crüe's own industrial experiments on the
Motley Crue album. Although not an essential listen, it will be an intriguing one for some. ~ Steve Huey
