Run Devil Run is yet another hardcore band preaching veganism and for a better humanity, which is quite reminiscent of Earth Crisis. Unfortunately, Run Devil Run borrows heavily from Earth Crisis, albeit they aren't nearly as heavy or effective lyrically. Sinking Deeper carries a very familiar feel to it, and while the music contained within is capable of rocking, it mainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth. "Rise Above" seems oddly monotonous, yet at barely over two minutes in length this aspect seems rather disturbing. This monotony continues to invade Sinking Deeper, turning even the most promising song, such as "I Could Be," into a veritable yawner. On top of that, Foose's irritating nasal scream is headache-inducing in its ability to annoy, which makes it quite impossible to ever fully comprehend the message the band wishes to convey. Sinking Deeper is a album with lofty intentions, yet seems destined for the gutter, lost and forgotten.
