This lush collection of magical harp-centered pieces is both soothing and challenging, ranging from solo tracks to a 14-piece orchestra. Flutes and recorders, oboes, brass and strings, tablas, timpani and bells help to blend the timeless beauty of Stories Seldom Told with passionate, adventure-filled music. On "The Rabbit Who Belonged to the Desert," all the elements mesh perfectly, with a lilting backbeat carrying the fantasy melodies. "A Big Cat Hug," referring to the cougar on the album cover, is a lullaby-like piece that shows Bennett's proficient harp playing, and is the only solo piece. "Dream Dance" is a string-laden dreamy piece with bass flute leading up to the dramatic break in the center, while "Dragonmaker" builds to a full orchestral sound, complete with conductor.
