Canadian disc jockey
Ted Daigle carved out a fairly lengthy recording career up in the hinterlands, despite never having anything remotely resembling a hit record. This 31-track collection doesn't even round up all of his recorded output, but what's here is legitimate country-rockabilly, played with a sharp edge.
Daigle isn't the greatest of singers, but his band, the Musicmen, pack a real wallop; their live performances of "Rock'n'Roll Ruby," "When You Said You All," and the barnburning original "Mary Lou" (all here in their studio incarnations as well) are worth the purchase price alone. Rockabilly well worth discovering.
