Chris Blue was already a seasoned performer when he won season 12 of NBC's popular reality television singing competition The Voice. Ordained at 15, he became a worship leader at his Methodist church, and began performing with his siblings under the moniker the Blue Brothers, eventually making their television debut on BET's Bobby Jones Gospel Show. In March, 2017 Blue auditioned for The Voice, and his performance of "Tracks of My Tears" by the Miracles prompted judge Alicia Keys to pick him for her team. Blue eventually made it to the last round and beat out Blake Shelton's finalist Lauren Duski to take home the top prize.
