Most of Trevor Rabin's better-known film scores (ARMAGEDDON, ENEMY OF THE STATE) have a heavy electronic sound, but THE GREAT RAID finds the composer using an orchestral palette to fine effect. The opening selection, "The Great Raid," is subtle, stirring, and resoundingly patriotic, making full use of brass, percussion, and woodwinds. The rest of the score follows suit, making for an engaging, well-conceived accompaniment to the film.
