Barry Adamson's former tenure as a member of Nick Cave's Bad Seeds hasn't exactly been evident in the evocative, pan-genre instrumentals of most of Adamson's solo discography. Surprisingly, the single LONG WAY BACK AGAIN harks back to the swirling, moody pop of the Bad Seeds, with Adamson taking a vocal turn amid a swaying, wistful, guitar-driven melody. The disc's other cut, "Besides," boasts burbling electronics, swelling strings, and a heavily textured pulse, giving full expression to Adamson's well known soundscaping talents.
