This comfortable collection of piano solos could be titled "To Satisfy the Listener." Michael R. Hicks' fingerprint is the interchange of familiar themes with new hooks, causing you to reacquaint yourself with the songs you already endear. Each song literally has a different personality with Hicks' renaming. In his new titles, he strings together the themes of hymns not commonly contained in the same medley (for starters, try "Thanksgiving," a medley of "All Creatures of Our God and King," "My Heavenly Father Loves Me," and "For the Beauty of the Earth"). Standouts include the rhythmic "Heavens Will Shake" ("Choose the Right") and the sole tune with lyrics -- "The Savior's Love" -- featuring John Canaan on vocals. The entire album reflects a reverent feel toward God's commandments and the blessings of His love.
