Listeners who haven't heard
Rasputina or don't already own the band's fine debut, Thanks for the Ether, should avoid
Transylvanian Regurgitations.
Marilyn Manson became a fan of
Rasputina when the two acts toured together; after he decided to remix "Transylvanian Concubine," Columbia took immediate advantage and released this "EP" -- which is really more of a single. This 1997 offering features two very similar, uninteresting Manson remixes of just the one song, and another four tracks straight from Thanks for the Ether (including "Transylvanian Concubine" again), and that is it.
Rasputina is an amazing group and both of its full-length recordings are highly recommended, but only obsessed fans should even consider
Transylvanian Regurgitations. ~ Vincent Jeffries
