Southeast Michigan-based post-rock/punk-pop/metalcore outfit Famous Last Words turned heads (at least regionally) with their debut digital EP Pick Your Poison, offering up a heady blend of punishing breakdowns, nimble guitar work, and catchy, synth-fueled, stadium-sized choruses that drew comparisons to contemporaries like In Fear in Faith and Chiodos.
Two-Faced Charade, the band's Joey Sturgis (Devil Wears Prada, We Came as Romans)-produced, InVogue Records-issued first long-player cranks up both the volume and the pomp, doubling down on the screamo elements while also cranking up the melodious theatricality, resulting in an album that's sure to ruffle some feathers, turn some heads, and snap some necks on its way to the big leagues.
