Although
AC/DC had already been the subject of a few home videos by the mid-'80s (1980's Let There Be Rock and 1985's Fly on the Wall), their Who Made Who was the first to feature promo videos from more than just one album. This video serves as an accompaniment to the album of the same name, the only problem is that only a total of five promos were filmed for the album's nine tracks (making it more of a video EP than a full release). The title track proved to be one of the band's glitziest clips (up to this point, most of
AC/DC's videos consisted of just the band playing on stage), which shows scenes of some masked actors scientifically building guitarist Angus Young. Also included is a humorous clip for "You Shook Me All Night Long" (although the song is from 1980, the video was filmed in '86), a spectacular live clip of "For Those About to Rock" (an early MTV fav), plus less striking videos for "Shake Your Foundations" and "Hells Bells." While it could have been much better if it contained more selections, Who Made Who showcases several of
AC/DC's best videos. ~ Greg Prato
