Stars of the Lid) and Bobby Donne (
Labradford), fans of both groups should find little surprise -- yet definite enjoyment -- in this rather peaceful and melodic release on the Kranky label. Heavily atmospheric, warm, and soothing,
Aix Em Klemm features drawn-out chords that fade as they're overlapped by the next, occasional lovely guitar work, hypnotic electronic samples, pulses, and breathy vocals that intermittently drift in and away.
