Donna Summer's contribution to the Christmas album market sounds good, courtesy of producer
Michael Omartian, but it's about what you'd expect from the combination of
Omartian and
Summer: nicely produced, bland versions of songs such as "White Christmas," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and "O Holy Night."
Summer gives it a good try, however, and the album does have some appeal, if little forcefulness. ~ Steven McDonald
