Helene Fischer is one of Germany's most successful schlager performers. This 2010 best-of compilation gathers all the singles from her first four albums, all produced by schlager veteran
Jean Frankfurter (
Bata Illic,
Claudia Jung,
Nicole). The track list also features "Und Ich Vermiss Dich Auch" (from her 2007 album
So Nah Wie Du) and "Verlieb' Dich Nie Nach Mitternacht" (previously only available as a B-side), as well as two new songs, "Frag Nicht -- Ich Mag Dich" and the single "Nicht von Dieser Welt." The two-CD edition adds English-sung versions of 14 of
Fischer's songs (with lyrics by Mary Susan Applegate), while the box set adds a third CD with remixes and a book. ~ Christian Genzel
