Though they're typically purveyors of top-quality power metal,
Between the Light & Darkness finds Spain's Dark Moor taking time to explore the classical side of their sound. Featuring four acoustic tracks and four fully electrified cuts, the album builds a bridge between the worlds of classical music and neo-classical metal in a way that few bands are able to do. The album also represents a moment of change for the band, as this would be the last album to feature the remarkable talents of guitarist Albert Maroto, drummer Jorge Sáez, and singer Elisa Candelas Martin, making it the last splash of the band's strongest lineup. ~ Gregory Heaney
