These guys began their career with a sort of MOR/romantic bent, but over the course of the first millennial decade gradually shed their innocent image in favor of harder material. By the time this disc rolled around, as the cover shows, they had pretty much succumbed to narcocorrido marketing pressure. And sad to say, they sound better for it. The accordion playing is biting and dark, and their vocals sound reedy and worn. Most of the songs have already been done by others but
