You might be wondering if the world needed a
Screamin' Rachael compilation, but it got one anyway, in the form of
Extacy. Released as part of the extensive round of Trax-related sets through a deal with Casablanca,
Extacy pulls from nearly 20 years of recordings. (Only the biggest house heads were aware that
Rachael was still releasing music through the early 2000s.) "Fun with Bad Boys" and "My Main Man," two of her best-known singles, aren't here, possibly due to their presence on other label anthologies, leaving room for more of the recent tracks. As a bonus,
Billy the Kid adds a 15-minute mix that does include a spin through "Fun with Bad Boys." Fun enough for some, but ultimately inessential.
