About a year after the 2019 release of brief mixtape Floor Seats, New York rapper A$AP Ferg offered up Floor Seats II, a slightly more fleshed-out continuation of the first volume's ethereal trap production and high-energy performances. A combination of powerful delivery and quick-shifting flows gives songs like the Tyga-featuring "Dennis Rodman" and "Move Ya Hips" featuring both Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO an undeniable intensity, and that intensity becomes the general atmosphere of Floor Seats II. There are moments of adventurous production, as with the electronic elements of "Hectic" and the glassy synths that open "Aussie Freaks." The album's most notable aspect is the star-studded guest list of high-profile collaborators. Over just 11 tracks, Ferg is joined by the aforementioned rap stars as well as Diddy, Lil Wayne, Fivio Foreign, and more. Marilyn Manson even shows up as a guest star on the appropriately titled album opener, "Marilyn Manson."
