A crew of serious
Ramones fanatics from Delaware,
Huntingtons have released a couple of all-
Ramones cover discs, as well as this album of originals, where every song sounds almost exactly like
the Ramones. The singer has his own spin on
Joey Ramone's distinctive, '60s pop-inspired vocals, while the band expertly pulls off the ballads, some of which are knockouts like "Hooray for You" and "Samantha Doesn't Want Me." These songs particularly click whenever the Moog kicks in with a groovy lead. But many of the tunes do not distinguish themselves from some of
the Ramones later, more forgettable records. Aside from being into leather jackets and pool parties,
Huntingtons are also into "Jesus" and the Christian music scene, of which
Ramones-flavored, pop-punk bands must be a very small part. ~ Adam Bregman
