I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know is a budget album on RCA's Camden imprint that compiles an assortment of material, from
the Davis Sisters' 1953 number one hit "I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know" to various
Skeeter Davis non-hits and B-sides going back at least as far as 1960. "I'm Going Steady With a Heartache" cleverly melds country with teen pop, and the solo tracks feature the trademark double-tracked vocals that later put
Davis in a position to exploit the girl group craze from the direction of country music. The recordings are presented in reprocessed rather than true stereo, and there isn't even a minor hit in the bunch besides
the Davis Sisters' track, but
I Forgot More Than You'll Ever Know gives true fans an opportunity to obtain some good-to-excellent stray tracks in a single package.
