Some a cappella from a quartet of singers from Kona comprises the opening of this album, and with some instrumental accompaniment it follows the course throughout. The four singers are capable performers and exceptional harmonists. The songs themselves become a bit monotonous as the album progresses, primarily because of the notably similar style of each song to the next. There are some additional surprises herein, such as an appearance by one of
the Brothers Cazimero, but it's not enough to shake the album up, unfortunately. It's a wonderfully crafted sound, but there may be too much of the same here to really make it interesting. ~ Adam Greenberg
