Mambo Jambo sneaks some later, lesser-known material in between the first and last tracks (two super-hits and two from
Rockambo) on each side. It would not have seemed dated in 1975, and it holds up well as an equal blend of U.S. and Mexican RCA Victor material. The selections are all solid choices, but there is nothing especially rare or significant. (A great
Perez Prado album can be unexceptional.)
