Earthsong: Native American Chants and Dances, the second album in Kyle Littlefeathers' Elements trilogy, combines the musical tradition of several Native American peoples with modern instrumentation. Though most of the melodies are ancient, the electroacoustic touches on pieces like "Dream Catcher" and "Fire Dance Song" add a soothing, contemporary twist. "Song of the Harvest," "Peace Song," and "Summer Ceremony" are some of the other highlights on Earthsong, an album that comfortably unites Native American and new age styles. ~ Heather Phares
