He may only be 23, but Bishop Nehru isn’t just a young rapper looking for confirmation. Coming out the New York woodworks at only 16 years old, he is an established, precocious and fascinating artist. Naturally, his third album, Nehruvia: My Disregarded Thoughts is that of someone who is accustomed to praise. And with this new project, the compliments won't be stopping any time soon. Creating a unified sound while juggling the different sub-genres of rap, Bishop Nehru stands out for his voice, his writing, and above all by his ability to bring a crazy musicality to his projects. Sometimes, it borders on acoustic hip-hop, like on All of My Years, a track filled with drums and a Rhodes Fender. Old jazz piano samples are coupled with a raw rap side on Little Suzy (Be Okay), and big names in tune with this musical spirit like MF Doom come to join him (MEATHEAD).
