Giving new meaning to the term "underground music,"
Lustmord's second album was reportedly recorded in a variety of subterranean spaces, which gives much of it a glorious echo. While much of
Lustmord's later material would rely very heavily on digitally created sounds, a good chunk of this album is produced with conventional instrumentation (vocals, pipes, percussion, and "machinery"), albeit heavily treated, producing thick drone textures that alternate between beautiful and scary. Soleilmoon reissued this album in 2000, updating the cover art. ~ Sean Carruthers
