A consummate and versatile singles band, Canada’s
Guess Who almost single-handedly put that country on the international pop map in the early '70s. This concise 14-track set tells that story well, and includes the often overlooked classics “Undun” (where the band sounds eerily like
the Zombies), the garage fuzzy “No Time,” the sharp “Hand Me Down World,” and the wonderfully odd “Clap for the Wolfman.” These guys had a nice touch for a while there -- here's the proof. ~ Steve Leggett
