Following their Gypsy jazz interpretations of U.S./U.K. '80s pop tracks from the likes of
Bon Jovi,
George Michael, and
Michael Jackson on their previous album, Canadian trio
the Lost Fingers tackle some of the biggest French-language songs from the same era with follow-up
Rendez-Vous Rose. The 2009 release includes cover versions of Michel Louvain's "La Dame en Bleu" and
La Compagnie Créole's "Ça Fait Rire les Oiseaux," and the lead single, a reworking of Philippe Lafontaine's "Coeur de Loup." ~ Jon O'Brien
