Ultra Bra has a small back catalog, but a variety of hits. Therefore, it's out of question that a band like Ultra Bra wouldn't get a decent collection after disbanding. And Sinä Päivänä Kun Synnyin serves this purpose well -- it isn't merely a commercial, money-oriented collection. Of course, you can question the track listing of the first disc but, after all, there really are no bad songs on this collection. The first of the two discs is well suited to listeners who don't own Ultra Bra albums. (And those who do should concentrate on the studio albums as a whole, instead of randomly assembled songs.) But even though the first disc may not be to everyone's tastes, the second disc of Sinä Päivänä Kun Synnyin will satisfy everyone, containing few if any Ultra Bra singles. The second disc instead features unreleased material, B-sides, and the limited edition of the Houkutusten Kiihoittava Maku EP. Even this rarities disc contains some excellent songs, which for some odd excuse weren't included on albums. "Siirrän Sokeriastiaa" and "Eniten" don't just have the potential to be on an album -- they certainly could be hits on their own. One also should not forget "Villiviini," which was released as a single but later dropped from Vesireittejä. And even though "Villiviini" and "Eniten" might not fit into Ultra Bra's typical format, they certainly are as unique as all the tracks on the legendary Houkutusten Kiihoittava Maku EP. ~ Antti J.
