Adjoining sharp-edged lyrics with industrial- and metal-style elements, the Hunger continue providing a unique blending of electronica and crude rock on Spaceman's Last Goodbye, the band's fifth album. Following "Pre Launch Head Trip," an introductory track, "The Last Mile," clearly demonstrates the essence of the sound mission of the band; after a beat prologue, the theme progresses into a hard, power-driven, still-melodious track. Dictating once more the crew's powerful sound is "Crown of Thorns," a theme creating an enraged musical trip without being dissonant and expanding above the discovery of melodic essence in the hardest of guitar strains. The major influences of the band, coming from crews such as the Cure or Ministry, become clear on "Son of a Soldier" by way of the segments of gothic rock, electronic experimentalism, and rousing elements of ponderous alternative metal. On another side of their creative scenario is "Strung Out," a theme beginning with forceful-sounding guitars in between beating action of the programming section, evolving to become a unique kind of an industrial chilling theme. Spaceman's Last Goodbye expands the Hunger's better science on the rising industrial-style ground, demonstrating the group's potential by fearlessly constructing new lineaments for fusion alternative sounds.
