Italian symphonic power metal sextet Secret Sphere unleashes its fifth album with such ferocity, one would think that this was a debut release. Inspired by a Scandinavian tour with King Diamond, Secret Sphere takes a darker turn, and unveils a macabre concept album with SWEET BLOOD THEORY. Based on John Polidori’s 1819 short story THE VAMPYRE, the album twists the traditions of symphonic metal, adding a Tim Burton-esque atmosphere to the triumph-and-tragedy musical swordplay. Mixed and mastered by Achim Köhler (Amon Amarth, Sinner, Primal Fear), SWEET BLOOD THEORY is a pulse-racing odyssey.
