MCA's
Best of Kenny Rogers & First Edition collects 27 tracks from the
Rogers' post-
New Christy Minstrels project, including classics like "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love to Town," "Reuben James," "Something's Burning," and the
Mickey Newbury-penned "Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)." This is one of the better, non-solo career compilations of the group with
Rogers, and while nearly all of the aforementioned hits are available on most straight up
Kenny Rogers anthologies, they're usually re-recordings. ~ James Christopher Monger
