Fiddle player extraordinaire
Doug Kershaw is featured on ten Cajun-drenched country and rockabilly tunes recorded in the '70s for Warner Bros.. Some of these songs were initially recorded by
Kershaw and his brother,
Rusty, in the early '60s and became regional hits in Louisiana before
Kershaw went on to mainstream success as "the Ragin' Cajun" in the '70s. Among the ten tracks are "Diggy Diggy Lo," "Louisiana Man," "Mamou Two-Step," "Hippy Ti Yo," and versions of
Hank Williams' Cajun classic "Jambalaya (On the Bayou)" and "I'm Walking" by
Fats Domino. Highly recommended. ~ Al Campbell
