The Clancy Brothers' influence on folk music is enormous. Not only did they spearhead a 1950s revival in all things Irish, but they also impacted American folk music, most notably the early work of singer/songwriter Bob Dylan. In general, The Clancy Brothers stirred Irish national fervor overseas, and all this may be their greatest achievement.
