Curb's
Best of Tommy Roe is an unsatisfying and schizophrenic collection that combines his classic bubblegum hits of the '60s with some non-hit material from the '70s. Unlike many
Roe budget collections, "Sheila," "Sweet Pea," "Dizzy," and "Everybody" are the original hit versions. The rest of the tracks are easygoing country-rock tunes that are not especially noteworthy, certainly not hits and certainly not worthy of being side by side with his real hits. There are better places to get a hold of the hits, so give this disc a pass. ~ Tim Sendra
