Leni Stern's second album as a leader (cut for the defunct Passport label and now a bit of a collector's item) features the guitarist/composer using four of the same five sidemen as she had on her debut,
Clairvoyant: tenor saxophonist
Bob Berg, pianist
Larry Willis, bassist
Harvie Swartz and drummer
Paul Motian.
Hiram Bullock adds his rhythm guitar to one piece. The absence of guitarist
Bill Frisell (an important ingredient on the previous record) leaves a bit of a gap, since
Leni Stern was at this point more distinctive as a composer (contributing all of the eight pieces except "Blue Monk") than she was as a guitarist.
