This five-song EP serves as the sister album to
The Model EP released on Iodine, but unlike that extended-play album, this release seems scatterbrained and not as well-executed. The first song has lead singer Joe Grillo repeating over and over, "Come on, die young," while the guitars belt out a quick, punk-rooted structure. The second, third, and fourth tracks seem to be more traditional
Garrison fare, very similar to what was released on
The Model. The final track displays soaring guitars that become very distorted and then go back to flying overhead once again. All of this is interlaced with electronic drumbeats and strained vocals from Grillo. With only five tracks, this makes for a somewhat awkward and definitely more experimental direction for
Garrison. ~ Kurt Morris
