Though he’s had plenty of street hits since “Oouuh,” there’s a subset of Fredo Bang fans who see the MC’s name and immediately hear him belting, “I’ma eat you like some foooood.” Some four years after the track—and the 2 Face Bang project it appears on—“Oouuh” remains some of Bang’s most memorable work. But to stop there would be to miss all of the playfully raunchy sex talk and Baton Rouge charm the MC still doles out on the regular. Two-Face Bang 2 has copious amounts of both, Bang speaking to the ladies on songs like “Hard 4 U,” “No Love,” and “Throw It Back,” and then to the streets on “Talk to Me,” “4’s Up,” and “Federal Raid.” It’s hard to say what constitutes either of the title’s presumed “faces,” but bouts of studied self-reflection like “Underdog Hero,” “Nobody,” and “Proud of Me” confirm that Fredo Bang is an artist who knows himself from all sides.
