Two good fairies blessed this Spanish singer who seems to belong to a whole new movida. This new album firmly establishes Amparo Sánchez as an iconic modern artist, whose joyful and positive approach is an act of resistance against the ambient gloom. At the head of a dynamic ensemble, she is a charismatic stage performer and an exuberant ‘cantaora’ who knows like no other how to mix hints of bolero, folk rock and rumba into her upbeat choruses.
