Anders Lauge Meldgaard

Multi-instrumentalist and composer Anders Lauge Meldgaard works in a wide field of musical expressions - ranging from contemporary music to free improvisation, sound installations, songwriting, orchestral midi collages, chamber music, mixtapes, noisy works for electric guitar sextet and lately electronic music. The tension between fixed compositions and improvisation is often used as a motivating force within his musical explorations. He has formerly performed and released critically acclaimed albums under the alias Frisk Frugt. His works has been performed internationally, with previous appearances at Novas Frequências in Brazil, SuperDeluxe (JP), Grimm Museum in Berlin, Roskilde Festival (DK), Muziekgebouw (NL), Museum of Contemporary Art (DK), Nørrekær Biennalen (DK) and a tour in China with the experimental artist collective yoyooyoy. He is a founding member of Copenhagen based music circle and record label År & Dag.
