Irina Lankova is a Russian-Belgian concert pianist. She inherited her deep and passionate playing from generations of artists of the brilliant Russian piano school. Blessed with an exceptional sensitivity, she offers very personal and moving interpretations. Born in Russia, she first studied in Moscow with Irina Temchenko, Irina Naumova and Lev Naumov, successor of the legendary Heinrich Neuhaus. Irina Lankova graduated with highest honours from the famous Gnessin Music School in Moscow, followed by Premier Prix with highest honours at Brussels’s Royal Conservatory studying with pianist Evgeny Moguilevsky. She's one of the rare young musicians who's receiving personal musical guidance from Vladimir Ashkenazy. She played as a soloist with many orchestras including Moscow Chamber Orchestra, Nijnij Novgorod Philharmonic and Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra. Irina Lankova recorded several CDs: "Rachmaninov & Liszt" (2004), "Scriabin - from Romantic to Mystic"(2006), "Chopin" (2008), "Schubert. The Journey" (2012); which all have received excellent international press reviews. Year 2008 was marked with her triumphant Wigmore Hall debut. Since than, Irina Lankova is performing each year at London’s St Martin’s-in-the Fields. In 2009, Irina Lankova was invited to become one of the elite worldwide ‘Steinway Artists’. Since 2012, Lankova is an invited professor at the Master Classes l'Académie Internationale d'Eté in Nice. Season 2013-2014 included a new release of late Schubert Piano works (Indesens, Paris) and a highly successful debut recital in Salle Gaveau in Paris. Season 2014-2015 presents several new multimedia projects developed by Irina Lankova: ‘Infinity’. The first project ‘Goldberg Mirrors’ took place in Brussels’ exceptional cathedral St Michel & Gudule on October 16th 2014. The new CD ‘Caprice’ with the violinist Tatiana Samouil has been released on January 30th 2015 in Salle Gaveau, Paris. Website: www.irinalankova.com
