Laura Alvini

Laura Alvini

This noted keyboardist received enthusiastic appreciation for her historically authentic interpretations played on the original instruments. Alvini studied piano and harpsichord at the Conservatory of Milan and later at the conservatories of Moscow and Paris. Her repertoire ranged from the earliest surviving keyboard works to piano works of the 19th century. Alvini taught harpsichord, clavichord, and piano, as well as the interpretation of thorough (figured) bass at the Civica Scuola of Milan. In addition to her solo work, she regularly appeared in chamber groups with her own Galimathias Musicum and with Roberto Gini's Ensemble Concerto. In 1995 and 1999, she won the Premio Internazionale del Disco A.Vivaldi of Fondazione Cini. © TiVo
