Made up of members Lylah, Edene, and Phillypa, Afro-zouk pop trio
Les Deesses have made waves in Africa, the Caribbean, and France. Released on July 2, 2007, their debut album,
Saveurs Exotiques, was a hit that year, and allowed them to tour the world. Influenced by
Kassav' and
Magic System and drawing comparisons to
Destiny's Child and
the Pussycat Dolls,
Les Deesses were signed to the WUMB (World Urban Music Black) label and worked with a number of big names in zouk to produce their full-length. ~ Chris True
