Maxine Daniels

Maxine Daniels

Known for her ultra-smooth singing and her large repertoire of jazz standards, Maxine Daniels is one of England's best loved vocalists. On her most recent album, The Memory Of Tonight, her silken vocals were set to the accompaniment of pianist Ted Beament, guitarist Dominic Green and bassist John Rees-Jones. Suffering from various ailments, since the late-1990s, Daniels was honored with a benefit concert at London nightspot, Ronnie Scott's, in October 2002, that featured performances by Helen Shapiro, Elaine Delmar, Barbara Jay, Marion Montgomery, Laurie Halloway, Terry Lightfoot and members of Humphrey Lyttelton's band. © Craig Harris /TiVo
