Californian pop singer/songwriter Nikki Paige turned personal struggle into upbeat inspiration during her early career, shedding a toxic lifestyle and finding her voice on late-2010s singles such as "Get Over It" and "Walk It Off." The Orange County native grew up acting and dancing, but singing was her true passion. Her initial foray into the music business centered on dramatic pop shadowed with rock edge on tracks such as "Encore" and "Dreamz." However, this direction resulted in early struggles as the songs failed to garner much attention. After descending into a party-centered lifestyle and emotional turmoil, Paige switched styles, taking her pain and turning it into positive, pop-centered material, which she described on the 2016 single "(Maybe) It's a Sign." She also provided vocals on the club anthem "Why You Playing Me" with Barona and Bouvier. The next year, she continued with "Get Over It," about fighting personal demons, and "S.L.M.O." In 2018, Paige guested on a handful of hip-hop tracks with Daz Dillinger and DJ Luke Nasty ("Thowowww"); Lil Riche 92 ("Under Nudge 1.0"); and Four Finger Ring ("End of the Day"). She also issued the bouncy "Walk It Off" and the island-kissed dance anthem "Ring Ring," produced by Brian Soko (Beyoncé, Lil Wayne). © Neil Z. Yeung /TiVo
