An innovative, fresh merging of Klezmer traditions with large ensemble jazz arrangements and jazz-informed solos. Shirim's first albums came out in the early '90s, prior to clarinetist/leader Glenn Dickson and trombonist Dave Harris forming the more rock-influenced and generally more experimental sextet Naftule's Dream.
