Small Planets

Small Planets

Small Planets was born after attending an inspirational Slowdive show at the Ace theater in Los Angeles. The vision for Small Planets started to quickly take shape over the next few months eventually finding Jeff Love on guitars, Josh Spincic on bass and Phil Drazic on drums. After an exhausting 2-year search, Jessica Hernandez joined Small Planets on vocals and Ryan Silo took on 2nd guitar. Their self-titled debut album came out in October 2019. In May 2020, the band released a three-song EP with two remixes of the single “E” from the album as well as the instrumental “Winter.” Small Planets donated profits from this EP for the L.A non-profit, The Sidewalk Project, which uses art, music, and film to create community and wellness for those who live outdoors. Their genre-defying music fluidly swerves between dark pop and post punk, with elements of dream pop and shoegaze blended in. Their sound pens a love letter to the post-punk genre which will engage the listener from start to finish.
